This stretch of roadway on the Marlbog road is in a sorry state and needs a footpath to cater for the 30 plus or so houses that have elderly people and children needing access to the footpath at Haynestown cross to reach the school. This is being raised with the council at present.’
This Link Road has been left unopened for many years now. The large vehicles that are avoiding the Greengates juction and Sextons juction are now using the marlbog road and up past the primary school to get access to the motorway. If this Link Road was opened it would ease all the heavy vehicles from using the short cut. It will take us out at the roundabout at WuXi and onto the inner relief road. I am awaiting a response from the council on getting this road allocated for funding. Local political will, is certainly needed to bring this project to completion.
