My name is Shane McGuinness and I am running for Fianna Fáil in the Dundalk South LEA in this years June local elections.
I grew up in the village of Blackrock with my sister and two brothers. I attended St Oliver Plunkett national school. I now live in Haggardstown with my wife and children where I am actively involved with many local sporting clubs. I am also the chairperson of Haggardstown Tidy Towns, where volunteers do a great deal of work in making the community a nicer place to live. I hope to have the privilege of being a councillor, so that I can be more active in the community and be a part of making the right decisions for all our people. If elected, I believe that I can make an extremely positive difference at local government level.
